I herby agree that the landlord named at the beginning of this application form may take whatever enquiries He/She deems necessary in connection with my application for this tenancy. I authorise my Employer, Bank/Building Society, Personal Referee/ Guarantor, to provide information about me, any prior tenancy history, and any employment/ financial affairs as appropriate to the landlord enquiries. I acknowledge that my application may be refused if the landlord is unable to obtain satisfactory references. I accept that due to the confidential nature of this application, I will not be permitted access to the references or be given any explanation should my references prove unsatisfactory. Under the Data Protection Act 1998, your information will be held confidentially and will not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose.

A Tenancy Reference check will be required and a fee of £17.30 will be incurred. This is to be paid by prospective tenant before reference is taken up. You should be aware that no refund is available should this check/reference prove unsatisfactory. Blair & Boyd Estate Management Ltd is not permitted under the Data Protection Act to disclose any information they receive but will refer the applicant to the appropriate Reference Agency.

Blair & Boyd Estate Management Ltd reserve the right to share this application form with Housing Benefit or any other appropriate agency.

Fee's

If you are selected as the tenant for this property you will be asked to pay £17.30 to run a tenancy reference check. If this is successful, we will contact you to arrange your move in date. On your move in day you will pay your first months rent plus your deposit (which is the same fee as your rent).

You should be aware that no refund is available should this credit check/reference prove unsatisfactory. Applicants will have to pay deposit, first month's rent in advance and sign Tenancy Agreement before keys will be released without exception.
